Scientist Apprentice Camp

The Scientist Apprentice Camp is an exciting and educational week-long summer day camp for middle school students. Campers participate in hands-on laboratory and field activities, learning from professors and students of the School of Science at IUPUI. The Scientist Apprentice Camp will give children a deeper understanding of the impact that science and mathematics have on our world.
Programming may include discovery in the following areas:
- Cells and DNA
- Science and crime
- Game programming
- Symmetry and tessellations
- Geology of the Earth
- Psychology of visual perception
- Flight dynamics of rockets
- Chemical properties of gases
- Math Magic
- Recycling and sustainability
2013 Dates will be announced in December 2012
Please note that this program is an academic elective, offered as an add-on to the traditional camp programs. Children should register for the week of their choice through the IUPUI Summer Day Camp in order to participate.
