Dr. Kechia Thomas is a Professor of Psychology and Senior Advisor to the Dean for Inclusion & Diversity Leadership at the University of Georgia. She received her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology at the Pennsylvania State University in 1993.

Her research program focuses on understanding the psychology of workplace diversity, specifically how individuals and organizations resist or demonstrate readiness for diversity. Her work is also concerned with the organizational experiences of marginalized groups, namely people of color, women, and sexual minorities and the impact that their work and professional experiences has on their career mobility and overall well-being. She has been named winner of the Janet Chusmir Service Award from the Academy of Management and a Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the American Psychological Association.
