2015 Brain Bee at IUPUI

brainbee2015The International Brain Bee aims to motivate high school students to learn about the brain and inspire the pursuit of careers in neuroscience research. The IUPUI Department of Psychology sponsors the Brain Bee as part of the School of Science’s commitment to advancing scientific minds, and fostering community interest in the sciences.

Open to students in grades 9-12, contestants in the spelling-bee style event answer questions about the brain and nervous system until a single student remains, having answered all questions correctly.

Study Materials
Questions & answers come from the free Brain Facts book published by the Society for Neuroscience. Optional study sessions will be held from 11 AM - 1 PM on four Saturdays: Oct 31, Nov 7, 14, and 21. Email Dr. Neal-Beliveau for more information and/or to reserve a spot.

The first place winner will receive:

  • A trip (flight & hotel) for you and guest to the National Bee
  • A scholarship to IUPUI
