IUPUI Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research
The IUPUI Chancellor’s Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research is a campus-wide honor recognizing the outstanding research and work of an IUPUI undergraduate student completing a baccalaureate degree in May 2011, the preceding December, or the following August.This award includes a $1,000 prize and will be conferred at the Chancellor’s Academic Honors Convocation on Friday, April 29, 2011.
Each School may nominate only one student. All Science nominations are made through the Department representative to the Nomination and Awards Faculty Committee. Members include David Stocum, Biology; Brenda Blacklock, Chemistry and Chemical Biology and Forensic and Investigative Sciences; Yuni Xia, Computer and Information Science; Gary Rosenberg, Earth Sciences, including Environmental Science; Richard Tam, Mathematical Sciences; Yogesh Joglekar, Physics; and Leslie Ashburn-Nardo, Psychology. Center for Research and Learning Director's Award for Outstanding Leadership and Mentoring of Undergraduates
The Center for Research and Learning Director's Award for Outstanding Leadership and Mentoring of Undergraduates is awarded each year to an individual who has made significant contributions promoting undergraduate research at IUPUI. The award will be conferred at the IUPUI Center for Research and Learning Student and Faculty Recognition Celebration on Wednesday, April 13, 2011.

Bowling-Jones-Russo Memorial Undergraduate Research Award
The Bowling-Jones-Russo Memorial Undergraduate Research Award is given to a freshman, sophomore, or junior student for outstanding research in any discipline. To be eligible, a student must have accumulated no more than 85 semester hoursas of the beginning of the current semester. It features a one-time $750 prize applied directly to the winning student’s bursar account the subsequent fall semester.
A student must be nominated by a faculty member, department chair, and/or dean. There is no limit to the number of students who may be nominated from any school or unit.
