IUPUI Earth Scientists contribute to the dialogue on climate change science and impacts
Release Date:
Dec 10 2012
One of the basic tenets of earth sciences is that climate change occurred frequently in the past. Even though driven largely by human activities, current climate change can also be studied through the lens of earth’s past, which provides important lessons on how earth systems respond to change.
Dr. Kathy Licht and Dr. Gabriel Filippelli were key parts of communicating this message as part of a weeklong program led by the Hoosier Environmental Council and culminating in the Greening the Statehouse forum on Saturday, December 1.
Dr. Licht was featured on the live radio program No Limits, which aired on the NPR affiliate WFYI (listen here). Dr. Filippelli was the keynote speaker at the forum on Saturday (watch here).
