Current Research

Develop, implement, and coordinate hydrologic analysis of aquatic ecosystems, with particular emphasis on the physical hydrology of streams and wetlands and the systems analysis of watersheds. Outreach activities include conducting continuing education workshops for environmental science professionals and community members. Teach or co-teach courses in stream and wetland ecosystems for graduate and undergraduate students. Primary research interests are stream and riparian corridor naturalization in the glaciated Midwestern United States and the hydrologic linkages between depressional wetlands and primary headwater streams.
