Continuing Students

Students holding non-science bachelor degrees who are electing courses in the School of Science to prepare for medical school are also invited to use the health professions advising service for help with the admission process. Visit PREPs for expert guidance on majors,medical school admission requirements, and research, internship and other co-curricular opportunities that will help guide students to the best medical schools. Planning for extra curricular activities, timing for the MCAT, and the admission process cannot begin too early.

Additionally, the pre-professional non-thesis biology masters program is designed to help you improve your chances at entry into professional programs by improving your qualifications and experience.

Graduate Certificate in Public Health

The Fairbanks School of Public Health Graduate Certificate is a 15-credit-hour program of study through the Fairbanks School of Public Heath. All public health courses require authorization before registering.

Please call 317-278-0337 to obtain authorization. Students who have been awarded a Graduate Certificate in Public Health have two years to apply their credits toward the MPH degree.

The 15 credit Graduate Certificate in Public Health consists of coursework in the five core areas of public health.

  • A519: Environmental Science in Public Health (3cr)
  • S500: Social and Behavioral Science in Public Health (3cr)
