At IUPUI, students majoring in secondary math or science education will receive their bachelor's degrees from the School of Science. In addition, students must complete a teacher education program (resulting in a minor in education), which can be completed within the science degree or added after the science degree is awarded. This combination of credits allows a graduate to teach math or science in middle school, junior high school or high school.

Learning to Teach / Teaching to Learn

Undergraduate students who are pursuing a major in the sciences and have completed a half of the required courses in the major may evaluate their readiness for admission to the School of Education-Secondary Education Learning to Teach/Teaching to Learn (LTTL) Program.
