The ES Mass Spectrometry Lab
Location: LD366
The Gilhooly lab has two stable isotope ratio mass spectrometers. The MAT 252 can be run as either dual-inlet or by continous flow. It is currently connected to a Gas Bench II for stable isotope analysis of carbonates (δ13C and δ18O) and waters (δ2H and δ18O). The Delta V is designed to analyze carbon (δ13C), nitrogen (δ15N), and sulfur (δ34S) by combustion in an elemental analyzer, and oxygen (δ18O) of sulfate, nitrate, or phosphate by pyrolysis with a TC/EA. Please contact Bill Gilhooly for more information regarding cost per analysis.
